I recently went away for a weekend and let a friend look after my pet rats. I came back to two very pregnant females.
I now have 12 baby rats up for rehoming. 10 males and 2 females now up for adoption.
They are very friendly and have been raised with a lot of care and human interaction. I would prefer to adopt them in pairs as rats are social creatures.
Rats live for about 2-3 years and are accepted in many apartments where dogs and cats are not. They make wonderful pets- males especially are lazy in their old age and very lap-cuddly. :)
In an effort to find them homes before I need to leave, I am willing let them go without a fee so that you may put that money toward a suitable home for them- and perhaps an extra toy :)
Should the adoption not work out for any reason, I will accept them back with no questions asked. I just want to make sure they are taken care of. I regret that I do not have the room to keep them.
Feel free to email me with any questions or for pictures. I also have 2 cages suitable for adult rats available at low cost.
