I found this plaster sculpture at an antique/thrift store recently and was drawn in by its somber feel. Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate any information about the sculpture or the artist.
The piece measures approximately 20" wide and 12" tall.
It appears that the last owner tried to remove it from the wood (perhaps to see if there was a marking on the bottom). That caused some damage to the plaster around the edge. Other than that, the piece is in good condition.
There are initials carved into the side but they are difficult to read.
No holds. Cross-posted. Pick up in Bridgewater.
