Local Avian DNA testing available, know them before you grow them! DNA testing saves you time and feed whether you are waiting for them to grow out enough to determine gender, or waiting on test breeding to determine if they have 1 or 2 blue egg gene copies or are carrying recessive white.

All tests are $10 each.

Current tests for gender:
Chicken
Emu
Duck
Quail
Goose
Turkey
Guinea fowl
Peafowl
Parrots (some varieties, not all, please contact for more info if needed)

Chicken only:
Blue egg gene - detects 0, 1, or 2 copies
Recessive white- detects 0, 1, or 2 copies

Samples for testing can be submitted via blood, feather, or egg shell + membrane from a newly hatched chick. Contact for more info!
