This breed is a Central Virginia Myotonic landrace developed by Renard Turner of Vanguard Ranch. Multifunctional goats selected for parasite resistance, high muscle-bone ratio, competent kidding, and none of the fainting traits. We are committed to producing highly maternal, parasite resistant breeding stock that thrive in a silvopasture-based, 100% forage rotational grazing system without the use of supplemental grain or antibiotics.
These goats are very social, hand raised in a community setting while performing targeted invasive species removal in forested landscapes on Eastern Mennonite University's campus. Ideal for homesteads and family settings.
