The Valley Voice is currently seeking volunteers to support its radio reading service for the visually impaired. We focus on local news and information by reading new publications from our region, and our studios are housed at local NPR Station WMRA, in Harrisonburg, VA. In your role as a volunteer, you will read articles from the Daily News Record, the Charlottesville Daily Progress, or the Staunton News Leader/Waynesboro. The expectation is that you would read from your assigned paper for one hour twice a month from our Harrisonburg studios. No experience is required; we provide the necessary training. This is an ideal opportunity to provide a much-appreciated—and valued—service to listeners in the Valley.
